Tanzania Zanzibar Peaberry
Tanzania Zanzibar Peaberry
Medium Dark Roast
Tanzania Zanzibar Estates are located in Mbozi and Mbeya, in the Southern Highlands of the Tanzania at an elevation between 1,400 and 1,800 masl. The coffee production is very limited and the farms have a very good reputation among the coffee connoisseurs.
Peaberries are a naturally occurring mutation of the coffee seed that forms a single, small, rounder unit than the two “flat beans” that typically sit face-to-face inside a coffee cherry. Only 4%-6% of the world coffee production contains one bean, so it's easily understandable how much rare and precious they are. The smaller, denser peaberries are meticulously sorted during the milling process for their distinct flavor profiles.
Tanzania Peaberry coffee is famed for its brightness and complex flavor profile, floral fruity notes more intense than regular coffee beans.
Zanzibar Peaberry has a distinct and unique flavor profile, notes of tangerine, cranberry and chocolate. Medium body with a sweet taste due to the natural sweetness that the peaberry beans usually have. The taste is brighter and stronger, yet not bitter at all.
